Mutinus elegans is a species of fungus commonly known as the elegant stinkhorn, the dog stinkhorn, faeces carota, the headless stinkhorn, or the devil's dipstick.

This unusual mushroom relies on flies and other insects to spread its spores. Attracted by strong foul odor, insects feed on the brown slimy substance that contains spores of the fungus and then carry them to other grounds.

LILAC Lighthouse Tender in the Fog

AT&T Long Distance Building (originally known as the AT&T Long Lines Headquarters) is a windowless skyscraper located in New York City. The building was designed by a New York architectural firm called Voorhees, Gmelin and Walker and was completed in 1932. The exterior of the skyscraper is sheeted by masonry all around which makes the construction look like a fortification rather than a building.

Eroding Beach of Dead Horse Bay

Starting from the 1850s, this area of the Brooklyn waterfront hosted a plant that processed remains of dead animals (mostly horse carcasses, hence the name "Dead Horse Bay") into glue and fertilizer. Later, from the 1930s to the early 50s it was used as an active landfill. Since then, the man-made beach at Dead Horse Bay has been slowly eroding away, revealing the artifacts of that era. As plastic weren't the main material back then, the beach is covered mostly by glass utensils.
